What is trauma and how does it affect our lives? There is a part of our nervous system that ties our response to intense situations, emotions and physical body together. That system has a natural way of protecting us in a stressful moment, and then heals when we return to a place of safety. But if we don’t know how to return to a place of feeling safe, we can not heal properly and can be easily ‘triggered’ into feeling stressed out constantly. Learning to reprogram your nervous system can transform a life of panic, stress, exhaustion and uncontrollable emotions, into a life of calm, safety, emotional regulations and physical health.

Mental health can sound like something big and scary to some, and old news to others. But no matter where we are at in our self discovery journey, when we take the time to grow in our understanding of ourselves, we will ultimately love who we are more.
